Established in 1851 by tailor John Emary, Aquascutum offers top-quality menswear. Renamed from Latin for 'watershield', the brand patented the first waterproof wool in 1853. Aquascutum's waterproof materials were used for coats in the Crimean War and trench coats in both World Wars.

Aquascutum has dressed political leaders, aristocrats, and actors, including Sir Winston Churchill, Sophia Loren, and Sir Michael Caine. Today, it it can dress you with their high-quality designs and iconic 'Club Check'.
