We hope you’ll love your new purchase. But if you’re not completely satisfied, don't worry!
Simply follow the steps below to return your item(s) within 14 days from the date of delivery for a refund or exchange. All returned items must adhere to the terms and conditions as stated below with all item(s) returned in time and a resalable condition with the original labels and tags attached.
UK Customers
If you are local to our store, you can return your parcel to us in-store free of charge. If you're not local please request a return and then follow the steps below.
Royal Mail
- Pack the item(s) you're returning.
- Go to our Royal Mail returns portal linked below.
- Fill out your details and provide Royal Mail with the requested information.
- Take your parcel to your local Post Office.
- Once returned, your order will be processed with a refund deduction of £3.99 for using this service. You will not be charged if the goods are returned for exchange.
Please be aware that while we offer a Royal Mail returns portal for your convenience, the responsibility for returning your order remains with you, the customer.
Royal Mail's standard compensation covers orders up to the value of £150. If your order exceeds this value, we recommend considering an alternative courier service of your choice. This will ensure your valuable items are adequately insured during transit.
By using the Royal Mail returns portal, you acknowledge and accept the limitations of their compensation policy.

International Customers
- Ensure you advise your local Post Office or courier this is a return. Otherwise, we may not receive the parcel back in the UK.
- Pack the item(s) you're returning and make sure it is fully sealed.

We do not currently offer any return labels for international customers. If you do not advise the courier or postal service that your order is a return this will result in any additional fees incurred to us being deducted from your final refund. This is because it will be classed as an import. Failure to declare goods as a return may also result in them being returned to the sender.
The customer must also take full liability for any parcels returned to us due to unpaid customs charges. Postal charges, return shipment costs, customs charges and handling fees will all be deductible from any refund due. This information is essential and must be taken into consideration before purchase.
Note for EU Customers
Due to recent changes and all our goods are dispatched from the UK, your duties and VAT cannot be refunded. Please see the EU Delivery Information for full details.
Exchanges
If the sizing or fit isn't quite right, that's not an issue. We offer two options if you're looking to exchange.
- Re-purchase the alternative garment or size and return the incorrect item for a refund following the above steps. Once back we will issue a full refund.
- Return the item, mark on the returns system that you'd like an exchange, and let us know which size and style you require. Please note we cannot guarantee stock availability with this method. We suggest using option 1 to ensure you get the items you want in the quickest time frame.
When Will I Receive My Refund?
Returns may take up to 14 business days to be processed once received by our returns department during busy periods. Any refund will be automatically issued to the payment method you used to place the original order. Depending on the payment method the refund amount may take 3-7 business days to show in your account once issued.
Please be aware Michael Stewart Menswear can not speed up this process, this is down to your bank.
Item(s) bought using a gift voucher or e-wallet balance can be returned for credit or exchanged but not refunded. Only Additional monies paid over and above the e-wallet balance used will be refunded, the rest will be returned to the e-wallet for use in future purchases. Funds will always be returned to the e-wallet first then the remaining balance will be put back into your card.
Please note postage and packaging costs will not be refunded and a deduction of £3.99 will be made if you have used our Royal Mail Return Service.
Click & Collect Terms
These terms and conditions govern the use of the Michael Stewart Menswear Click & Collect service. By placing a Click & Collect order, you agree to these terms.
1. Order Placement and Confirmation:
- Orders for Click & Collect must be placed through the Michael Stewart Menswear website.
- You will receive an order confirmation email upon successful placement of your order.
- A separate email will be sent to confirm when your order is ready for collection.
2. Collection:
- Please wait for the "Ready for Collection" email before travelling to the store.
- You must bring a valid form of identification (e.g., driving license, passport) and your order confirmation email (digital or printed) when collecting your order.
- Collection is available during our standard store opening hours.
3. Failure to Collect:
- If your order is not collected within one month (30 days) from the date of the "Ready for Collection" email, your original payment method will no longer be eligible for a refund.
- In such cases, you will be offered a credit note or an exchange for goods of equivalent value if the items you have ordered are not suitable.
- Michael Stewart Menswear reserves the right to dispose of uncollected items after a reasonable period.
4. Amendments and Cancellations:
- Amendments or cancellations to Click & Collect orders may be possible before the "Ready for Collection" email is sent. Please contact our customer service team as soon as possible.
- Once the "Ready for Collection" email has been sent, cancellations may not be possible.
5. Returns and Exchanges:
- Our standard returns and exchange policy applies to Click & Collect orders, subject to the conditions outlined in section 3.
- Items can be returned or exchanged in-store, provided they are in their original condition with all tags attached and accompanied by proof of purchase.

Terms & Conditions Of Returns
What Are The Terms & Conditions Of Returns
Items must be returned and back in our possession within 14 days from the date the goods were delivered. Please consider this when posting your item(s) back to us. If our returns department receives your items after the 14th day from the date of delivery, you'll be offered an account credit only.
The item(s) must be in perfect, resalable condition with all the original labels and tags attached. These items must be unworn and unwashed. Footwear must be tried on carpeted surfaces, to prevent scratches or scuffs to the soles. Do not damage the brand's product box, do not apply adhesive tape or labels directly to the product shoe box.
Michael Stewart Menswear can not accept returns on underwear, socks, swimwear or face masks for hygiene reasons. Please contact us if you need precise measurements for any item.
Any items that do not adhere to the above terms and conditions will be consequently returned to you.
Please be considerate when returning your item. Ensure the goods are neatly folded and repacked as they were when delivered. Additional time spent steaming/refolding the goods that were poorly repacked may delay your return as we check for defects and the overall condition of the garment.
What are the Terms & Conditions of the Returns Process?
Please note we cannot take any responsibility for items lost, damaged or delayed when returning to us. Any courier may be used to return your item to us, however, any fees from duties, customs or additional costs from the courier to complete delivery will be deducted from the refund amount. Please note that any postage and packaging costs cannot be refunded as this is a service, not a product.
The Item I Have Received Is Defective
In the rare occasion that the item(s) you receive are damaged during transit or due to a manufacturing fault, please get in touch with us at 01757 703139 or sales@michaelstewart.co.uk.
In most cases, you will need to return your item(s) for assessment by our returns department. If you are a UK customer please send the item back via the returns portal. If you are an international customer please contact the team via email for advice on how to return the item(s).
Once the item has reached our returns team, they will inspect the item(s) to determine the cause of the fault and whether you are entitled to a repair, refund or exchange. Please be aware that in some cases, the item(s) may have to be sent back to the manufacturer overseas. This can be a lengthy process which does need to be considered when starting this process.
Goods are only classified as faulty if they have a genuine manufacturing fault (deemed so by the brand) within the six months since the purchase, or if they are received damaged. Please note if the item(s) has been damaged through wear it will not be accepted. Any issues with the garment through washing will also not be accepted and neither Michael Stewart Menswear nor the brand will be able to determine exactly how the damage came to be.
Once your item has been assessed and the garment is deemed as faulty we will first try to provide you with a like-for-like replacement. Please be aware in some cases we may no longer have the style you purchased in stock, so a credit note may be issued or you will be able to choose an alternative item for the same value or less.
In some cases if the damage/fault occurs after 6 months we may be able to resolve the matter with the manufacturer, please be aware that these matters will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, and Michael Stewart cannot accept any responsibility and successful returns of faulty garments cannot be guaranteed.
